Donald Trump a nommé comme son conseiller de sécurité nationale (destiné à être le président du National Security Council en cas de présidence Trump), Carter Page, un ancien financier et banquier qui a d’abord travaillé à Merrill Lynch mais qui, surtout, a été consultant pour l’entreprise étatique russe Gazprom et a résidé trois ans à Moscou. Selon le site russe IsraelInfo, dont le texte a été repris en traduction anglaise par FortRuss.com le 28 mars, les conceptions de politique extérieure de Page sont “exotiques”, disons par rapport aux conceptions washingtoniennes habituelles.

Quelques indications : Page croit aux théories conspirationnistes, il a déjà dit son accord avec les critiques de la politique étrangère US par la TV chinoise et il s’est affirmé comme un adversaire forcené des sanctions occidentales contre la Russie. Dans un article de Global Policy, Page critique violemment l’OTAN, juge que la Russie et l’Iran ne font que répondre aux agressions du bloc-BAO  et met directement le “coup de Kiev” au crédit de Victoria Nuland. Hannah Tobam de The Heritage Foundation a estimé que les positions de Page sur la Russie et l’Ukraine sonnent comme si elles étaient « un commentaire direct de Russia Today ». Voilà qui indique l’intérêt que Trump attache aux meilleures relations possibles avec Moscou et qui va ravir Justin Raimondo après sa rubrique de Antiwar.com ce 30 mars 2016 ; pour le reste, on imagine la mine des neocons et on mesure l’accélération de la montée de la haine anti-Trump, déjà coriace, de l’establishment. Pour Martin Armstrong, de AmstrongEconomics.com, (le 29 mars) la question qui se pose aujourd’hui pour l’establishment washingtonien n’est rien d’autre que celle-ci : « When Will Trump Be Assassinated?  »
