Assange pas assez préservé, ou le fou-rire of the world

C’est au choix : ou bien notre monde, sous la direction éclairée de Notre-Système, s’écroule dans la tragédie apocalyptique, ou bien il s’écroule dans un fou-rire inextinguible. Pour le cas mentionné ici, c’est la deuxième option.

Il s’agit du sort de Julian Assange, fondateur de Wikileaks, dont on devrait savoir rapidement s’il est candidat pour le Prix Nobel du ben Laden de la deuxième décennie du XXIème siècle, – disons, s’il échappe aux foudres surprenantes de la justice suédoise. Le sort actuel de Julian Assange, en effet, est particulièrement nébuleux, et les nouvelles données par un avocat australien qui travailla temporairement pour lui ne font rien pour les dissiper.

Selon James D. Catlin, avocat à Melbourne, écrivant dans The Australian, l’accusation de viol contre Assange relancée par la justice suédoise après un abandon initial et impliquant une éventuelle demande d'extradition (sans doute d'Angleterre où il se trouverait, qui sait...) tiendrait au fait qu’Assange aurait eu des relations sexuelles consentantes, mais qu’il ne portait pas de préservatif durant la, ou les chose(s). En Suède, il semble qu’une femme ayant eu des relations sexuelles consenties avec un homme, puis s’apercevant que le dit bonhomme n’était pas équipé en conséquence, peut porter plainte pour viol, et que sa plainte est dûment considérée. James D. Catlin qualifie cette accusation contre Assange, dans les circonstances présentes, de “the laughingstock of the world”, – disons, le Prix Nobel du fou-rire…

Catlin, a lawyer in Melbourne, Australia, says in an article published Thursday that Sweden's justice system is destined to become “the laughingstock of the world” for investigating rape charges in two cases where women complained that Assange had had sex with them without using a condom.

»Catlin, who confirmed to Raw Story that Assange retained his services for a “limited duration” in October but did not provide details, also said both of the accusers "boast[ed] of their respective conquests" after the alleged crimes had been committed. “The Swedes are making it up as they go along,” he wrote.

»Catlin's claims are likely to add fuel to speculation that Sweden's investigation of Assange is politically motivated.

»“Apparently having consensual sex in Sweden without a condom is punishable by a term of imprisonment of a minimum of two years for rape. That is the basis for a reinstitution of rape charges against WikiLeaks figurehead Julian Assange that is destined to make Sweden and its justice system the laughing stock of the world and dramatically damage its reputation as a model of modernity.

»“Sweden’s Public Prosecutor’s Office was embarrassed in August this year when it leaked to the media that it was seeking to arrest Assange for rape, then on the same day withdrew the arrest warrant because in its own words there was “no evidence”. The damage to Assange’s reputation is incalculable. More than three quarters of internet references to his name refer to rape. Now, three months on and three prosecutors later, the Swedes seem to be clear on their basis to proceed.
